I make bags, bike seat covers, brooches and bunting from recycled umbrella fabric. The um-bag was originally born out of my determination to design and make something useful with all those discarded umbrellas you see by the roadside after a squally rainstorm. It’s a foldable, lightweight, compact, strong and of course, water-resistant bag to keep with you at all times and present at the checkout when offered a plastic bag for your pint of milk, so it’s an ecological double-whammy as well as being stylish to boot.
