Hello and welcome to my business!

I am an illustrator and print designer with a particular passion for pets. Having worked for various large retailers, I recently decided to take the plunge and set up on my own. I create hand drawn illustrations of dogs and cats, which I adapt into printed designs for stationery, homeware and gift. Each pet is given lots of character and humour and the colourful pattern of the designs enhances their playful nature.

Many of my designs are applied to greetings cards however I plan to expand them across wallpaper, dinnerware, notebooks, gift-wrap, (framed) prints and home textiles. I have also developed them, into black and white T-shirts and cotton tote bags. The ‘Canine Comrade’ and ‘Feline Fellows’ greetings cards are handmade with a printed and patterned reverse. Each one comes with a matching, printed envelope and I always endeavour to add care and attention to detail in order to achieve the highest quality possible.

As well being as being fun, one of the principal aims of my business is to be environmentally conscious. All of my cards are made using either 100% recycled or FSC certified and 100% eco sustainable materials. My T-shirts are also made purely from a mixture of cotton and plastic bottles!

Further to creating my own collections, I offer a bespoke design service providing pet portraits, wedding invitations, greetings cards and designs for any home and gift related product. I collaborate with other organisations such as the directional, American, wallpaper brand, Studio Printworks, for whom I created a design called ‘Spot’. This design is displayed in my images and is available at the Tissus d’Helene Show Room at the Chelsea Harbour Design Centre, and through Studio Printwork’s website: http://www.studioprintworks.com/

I also work with the Living Furniture Project, http://www.thelivingfurnitureproject.org.uk/, to create surface pattern concepts for furniture. These patterns are produced using recycled envelopes, which are then applied onto restored furniture or furniture created from reclaimed wood. All of the manufacturing processes through the LFP are taught to homeless people who then recreate the furniture for commercial use at the company’s workshop in Whitechapel.

The ‘Canine Comrade’ and ‘Fanciful Feline’ ranges, each involving six separate designs, which can be bought individually or as part of a set. The cards are 16cm x 12.5 cm, blank inside and cost £4.75 each or £26.95 for the pack of six. The framed print behind each card displays it’s printed reverse which can also be seen in the images of the envelopes.

The ‘Simply Dogs’ range has been digitally printed and each card is 6×4″ in size. It comes with a beautiful, ebony envelope and costs £2.75 or £10.00 for a set of 4. The red and blue designs each have a shimmered finish to provide an added a touch of lustre!
