Event Details

Winter Village Hackney

Winter Village is a 3-day Christmas Market in the heart of Hackney curated by City Showcase.  Open From 5pm to 9pm on Friday Dec 5 & from 11am to 7pm on  Saturday & Sunday.

Winter Village, Hackney, will take place in the grounds of St John, a church and emerging new music venue in  Hackney Central and will offer a vibrant, contemporary alternative to the more traditional ‘German style’ Christmas markets including artisans, artists, fashion and jewellery designers, leather designers, ceramicists, and card makers. This year’s market will also host a live stage featuring music and local choirs as well as food and drink stalls.

The market presents the perfect opportunity for the next generation of designers to showcase their unique products, food and crafts and City Showcase is calling for young creatives (including artists, artisans and designers, musicians and entertainers) and local businesses to get involved.

Hackney Central is home to Hackney Fashion Hub, Hackney Empire, Sutton House and the iconic Broadway Market and has emerged as a top city location to find budding artists, creatives and craftspeople.

With close ties to the local community, forward thinking St John at Hackney has played host to an array of artists such as Sinead O’Connor, Jessie Ware, Bonnie Prince Billie, and Elbow. City Showcase is proud to be hosting our upcoming event here.
