Event Details

Portobello New Youthquake and Next Generation Market will be showcasing West London’s hottest creative talent on the weekend of May 27 & 28 on the famous Portobello Road in W10.

As part of Love Your Local Market 2017  this year’s theme is youth culture, and Portobello and Golborne Road market is taking inspiration from ‘Youthquake’, a term coined by British Vogue editor-in-chief Diana Vreeland in 1965 to describe a London-centred movement of youth-led music and fashion.

The New Youthquake on Saturday and Sunday May 27& 28 and Next Generation Market on Sunday May 28, aims to re-kindle and expand on that movement, with Portobello and Golborne at its heart. New Youthquake is designed to give opportunities to West London’s young business minds and creative talent. Participants will have many chances to learn new skills and pioneer new ways of doing things on a market. New businesses and existing traders are invited to get a feel of a lively market environment, and shoppers are encouraged to visit and discover all that their markets have to offer.

Liven up yourself! Live Music Stage, Street Wisdom, Open Mic, Street Food and more!
