New Youthquake Christmas (NYQxMAS) market 1 and 2 December

What’s the New Youthquake (NYQ) story?
The term ‘Youthquake’ was coined by British Vogue editor-in-chief Diana Vreeland in 1965 to describe a London-centred movement of youth culture including music and fashion. New Youthquake aims to re-kindle that movement, with London’s iconic Portobello and Golborne Road market at its heart.

What’s happening this time?
New Youthquake Christmas (NYQxMAS) market 1 and 2 December:
Youth market and nano-festival with 32 stalls, live performance platform, free bike tune-ups and more. On Saturday 1 December the market will operate in the square from 10am to 5pm. On Sunday 2 December the market will expand to include the section of Portobello Road adjacent to the square from 11am to 5pm.

Want to get involved?
New Youthquake is welcoming applications from anyone aged 16-30 i.e. artists, makers, creators, fashionistas, innovators, performers, dancers, musicians and show offs and anyone with a business or brand concept they would like to test on a market scene.
