12jul - 23sepAll DayIndirect Sunlight - NOW Gallery

Event Details

Free to view from 12th July – 23rd September at NOW Gallery on Greenwich Peninsula, Indirect Sunlight will draw nature inside, inviting visitors to discover an immersive sculptural garden installation by Glasgow based artists Laura Aldridge and James Rigler.

The space will be full of playful and brightly coloured sculptures, with clipped topiary and vibrant fabrics draped over archways and structures. Small, golden ceramic elements will dot the arched structures like fruits or budding blossom and as visitors venture further, a ceramic water fountain will be revealed.

Workbenches stationed throughout the space will house materials for visitors to evolve the installation – to pop up plants, to sow seeds and to place their seedlings within the landscape of the ‘garden’. With workshops hosted daily by Urban Growth, visitors are able to then take their plants away with them, or let them grow within the gallery space, developing over the course of the 3 month exhibition and bringing it to life as nature infiltrates the space.
